Julie Burtscher Brown, MSEd

Julie Burtscher Brown is the PreK-12 Literacy Facilitator for Mountain Views Supervisory Union in Woodstock, VT. Her focus is on promoting educational equity by supporting teachers and administrators in their knowledge and practice of evidence-based literacy instruction. Julie has also served her district as a special educator and Multilingual Learner Coordinator. She was the founding teacher of Woodstock Union Middle and High School's Structured Literacy Program. 

Julie holds three Vermont teaching endorsements: PreK-12 Reading Specialist, Special Educator, and Multilingual Learner Teacher. A graduate of the University of Vermont and Simmons College, Julie is currently a doctoral candidate at Mount St. Joseph University with research interests in MTSS and adolescent literacy.
