Tracy Hastings, EdD, is the Executive Director for Education and Early Literacy Initiatives for a community college in Indiana, where she supports integrating reading science in educator preparation programs. She is a past president of the International Dyslexia Association, Indiana Branch. She received the School Specialty Robert G. and Eleanor T. Hall Outstanding Educators Scholarship Award for innovative instructional strategies to help dyslexic students achieve at the highest levels. She served elementary, middle, and high school students as a general and special education teacher and at the district level as a building administrator and K-12 Instructional Coach. The work of her 33-year career in public education has been centered around literacy for marginalized students as an Orton Gillingham and structured literacy trainer. Dr. Hastings also serves as a national LETRS trainer and a national LETRS for Administrators trainer.Â
